Handsewed dolls

I said previously that I suck at sewing but it is not exactly true. I did manage to sew voodoo-like dolls even though they have nothing to do with voodoo, I don't prick them, they just represent people I care for (or used to care for). One of them is deceased. I'm still keeping her dolly self as a souvenir. The one with the blue lantern represents me.

I sewed this broken brooch on a thrifted bolero I paid less than $3!

The grandparents brought a delicious cake this afternoon. Yum yum!

Beautiful decoration and found again drawings

Here's what I saw at the DIY-decoration store yesterday. Each and every item is beautiful, you want to buy 'em all but damn, they're expensive!

I took a pictures of two fairies I drew a couple of years ago and gave to my mother. She put them in my parents' room.

Thrifting

Today I went to a thrift shop. I like rummaging through second hand stuff. Could not find many bargains this time though. Ah, and sorry for the low quality of the pics, taken with my old mobile.

This warm sweater is Kookaï and it only cost me 2 euros (about $2.5)

I hope my mum will enjoy this collection of knitting practical guides; she started knitting again a few months ago and seems to enjoy it.

I managed to paint another girl yesterday.

Today

I went to a yard sale today. I only bought a skirt and it was a rip-off because it was unstitched; I hadn't looked carefully before buying it. But it was nice to go out looking for bargains.

A more positive thing today is that I could make another painting that is not too bad. It is made of gouache and pen.

I tried to paint again. I hadn't practised in a while. I had often thought about painting a girl covered with tattoos. Here it is!

This heart is made of old cloth filled with flaxseeds.

Hand made doll

A friend of mine made an absolutely nice Doctor Who's tardis brooch for me and I thought of something to make for her to thank her. I'm having a hard time drawing at the moment so I thought about making this funny doll. I hope she'll like it.
